- Small packs are sent in a compostable mailer and tissue paper,
- Large packs come in a specially designed mailer box, featuring one of our artists' epic artworks (pictured)
If you'd like more masks in your care-pack, simply add them to your cart as usual, and we'll pop them in your boxaroonie 👍
Fabric Markers
If you choose to use your own fabric marker pens, or purchase them elsewhere, we recommend checking they are non-toxic before use. The ones we include from Cleverpatch are heat-fixed, so once your youngster has completed their artwork, they will need adult assistance to heat-set their design with an iron, and the mask will then need to be washed before being worn, to remove any excess ink. We have chosen to include Cleverpatch markers for 4 reasons: (1) to support another Aussie business, (2) because their markers are non-toxic, (3) because their markers have an AWESOME range of colours (we've tested, obvs), and (4) because their packaging is cardboard, therefore minimising the use of that terribly hard plastic that some marker sets come in. You know the ones. The ones that require scissors to get into. EYW #SayNoToPlastic 💪
And of course, the fabric markers can be used on the cotton bag, and any and all other light coloured fabrics, from t-shirts to bed sheets (ssshhh)! A cotton or poly fabric base will give the best results. So, there are many more projects to come from this pack!
Delivery
At check-out, we only offer courier services for these packs. That's because bigger parcels are taking an age with standard post at the moment, and we want to make sure your packs reach you speedily, and free of hassle! The courier services we use are 100% carbon neutral.

Sustainability
Our fabric sourcing and production is 100% ethical, local and artisan. Our business started as 100% carbon neutral and we are absolutely committed to staying that way for good! This includes everything from the wind-farm energy that powers our studios, our eco printers, compostable corn-starch and plant-based cello packaging as well as our courier deliveries.
Social Impact
As a for-purpose business, we are committed to a fairer way of making sustainable products. We support lots of awesome local charities including Beyond Blue, Bridging the Gap Foundation, Surfrider Foundation, the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, the RSPCA, Arts Access Australia, The Black Dog Institute, SEED, Tangaroa Blue, PTSD Dogs Australia and Backpack Bed for the homeless.
Community Safety
As artists, seamsters and makers, we decided to put our skills to good use during lock-down by making as many fabric masks as possible. Our aim is to contribute to the safety of our communities and provide quality cloth masks that help to slow the spread of covid-19. Buying a reusable mask helps to significantly reduce the number of disposable masks that end up in landfill.

When will I receive my mask(s)?
We will dispatch your orders next day, via carbon-neutral courier. At present, deliveries are taking 1-5 working days, depending on your distance from metro areas. We can only send to Locked Bags and PO Boxes via Aus Post. We recommend checking their website for current timelines.

Are Mask Planet masks ethically produced?
Yes, all of our masks are hand-made by local artists and makers in warm, light-filled studios in Melbourne and Geelong. No factories, no sweat-shops, no environmental destruction on our watch. Decent living wages and a super friendly environment. Plus doggos.

These masks are made to last. Wash as normal but check out our Information page for full washing and ironing instructions and tips.
